  • Fill a plastic bucket with warm water.

  • Squirt a bit of shampoo or liquid dishwash soap into the water.

  • Dip a sponge or mop into the bucket and wring it out.

  • Dab or mop the spot with the cleaning mixture until you can tell the hairspray is coming off the floor.

  • Rinse the floor with clean, cold water.

  • Air dry the bathroom floor when you are done.

    For stubborn buildup, use a small amount of rubbing alcohol to dissolve the hairspray residue.
