How to Pack a Poster

When you pack a poster, if you don't do it correctly there is a good chance that the poster can get wrinkled, ripped and completely ruined. Packing it well will ensure that your poster will stay in one piece and in excellent condition.

How To Pack A Poster

  • Flip the poster over onto a flat surface, picture side up, and roll up the poster as tightly as you possibly can. The poster needs to be rolled tightly enough that it will fit inside an empty cardboard paper towel roll. Start rolling it by using your fingers to roll it from the middle. It should end up tightly rolled into a thin roll with the picture of the poster on the inside of the roll and the back of the poster facing out. When the poster is tightly rolled, place a small piece of tape on the middle of the poster to attach the lose end to the already rolled part of the poster.

  • Take a piece of paper and tape it to the open end of an empty cardboard paper towel roll. Make sure that it is sealed well and no tape is on the inside where it can touch the poster.

  • Place one end of the rolled poster into the empty cardboard paper towel roll. Use as many cardboard paper towel rolls to put over the rolled poster until you have reached and completely covered the opposite end of the poster.

  • When you have the rolled poster completely inside the empty cardboard paper towel rolls, put another piece of paper over the last open end of the cardboard paper towel roll. Seal the paper well to the paper towel roll.

  • Tape together all of the paper towel rolls that you had put the poster inside of. Make sure that you are taping together the paper towel rolls and not taping the cardboard paper towel rolls to the poster that is on the inside. You now have a poster that you can easily store and it won't get damaged.

  • You now have a poster that you can easily store and it won't get damaged.

  • Warning

Considering that the paper towel rolls are made of cardboard, placing anything heavy on them or against them will crush them even though they are somewhat sturdy. Make sure to keep the poster isolated from anything that can still crush it.
