How to Remove Water Marks From Marble

Marble is an elegant stone found in many luxury homes, often as a bathroom vanity, shower or countertop. These surfaces commonly collect water that splashes onto the marble surface, and when you allow the water to air dry you typically get left with cloudy, dirty-looking spots of residue.

Remove water marks from marble with soapy water.

The water marks should be cleaned off of the marble with a safe cleaning ingredient that will remove the residue without causing damage.

Wipe down your marble with a clean, dry rag when you notice water standing on the marble surface.

  • Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth. Examine to see if any water mark residue is still present.

  • Dip the edge of a cleaning rag into white vinegar and scrub gently over tougher water marks. Repeat as needed until you remove all of the water residue.
